中国におけるコロナウイルスの機能増強研究に資金援助をしていたことが曝露されたファウチ博士の盟友、エコヘルス同盟のダスザク氏は、権威ある医学専門誌であるランセット誌において、コロナウイルスは自然由来であり、武漢ウイルス研究所から流出したという主張は根拠のない陰謀論であると主張するレターを投稿していました。

しかし、この分野で名の知れたトップクラスの研究者15名がダスザクらを糾弾するレターを同誌に投稿してこの度掲載されました。
このレターでは、コロナウイルスには遺伝子操作が疑われる不可解な特徴があり、その起源については武漢ウイルス研究所から遺伝子操作によって作り出された機能増強型ウイルスであるという仮説も含めて、科学的エビデンスに基づいて客観的に検証されるべきであると述べています。
今後は、この分野の権威者であるファウチ博士一派が言っているのだからコロナウイルスは自然由来で、ワクチンも有効であると言う、主流メディアの主張にブレーキがかかることでしょう。
今まで無視されてきた、コロナウイルスの病原性の主原因はコロナウイルスのスパイクプロテインが人間細胞のACE2に結合して、ACE2の機能が失われることであると言う仮説が真面目に検討されることを期待します。
